xAI's conversational AI, built into the X (formerly Twitter) platform. Grok has real-time access to posts on X, making it unusually current on trending topics and public discourse; its tone is noticeably less cautious than most competitors, which is both a feature and a risk to be aware of.
Setup in 5 Minutes
and sign in to your X account (or create one
at x.com/i/flow/signup).
- Click the Grok icon in the left-hand navigation sidebar
(or go directly to x.com/grok).
- The Grok chat interface opens—type a message and press Enter.
- Use the DeepSearch toggle for queries that need
multi-step web research beyond X posts.
- Grok can also generate images—type a description like
"Draw a robot reading a book in a library" and it
produces an image using the Aurora model.

Ask Grok "What are people on X saying about AI in education right
now?" Compare its answer to the same question asked on ChatGPT or
Perplexity—notice what real-time social media access adds (and what
biases it might introduce).
