What It Does

Notion is a workspace that combines notes, documents, databases, wikis, and project boards. Notion AI adds an inline assistant that can summarise pages, generate content, translate, extract action items from meeting notes, and answer questions about your workspace. Because it understands your workspace structure, it can pull information across pages—"What were the key decisions from last month's project meetings?"

Setup in 5 Minutes

(free for personal use). - The free plan includes generous page and block limits. - Enable Notion AI from Settings (it is a paid add-on, but trial credits are provided). - Create your first page and start typing. - Use / commands to insert AI blocks, databases, toggles, and callouts.

Try This

Create a meeting notes page. Type (or paste) raw notes from a recent meeting. Highlight the text and select AI $$ Extract action items. Notion AI generates a checklist of tasks with owners. Then ask it to Summarise the page into three bullet points for someone who was not in the meeting.

Follow Along

Follow Along — Build a Project Tracker. and add a Database – Table block. - Add columns: Task Name, Owner, Deadline (date), Status (select: To Do / In Progress / Done), and Priority (select: High / Medium / Low). - Populate the table with 8–10 tasks for a real or fictional group project. - Highlight the full table, click AI, and select "Write a project brief based on these tasks". - Review the AI-generated brief, edit it to add context, and pin it at the top of the page as a callout block.
